USGPRU rider and teen phenom Peter Lenz was killed this morning during the warm up lap for the MD250H race. Lenz crashed and was struck by another rider on the track at the exit of Turn 4. Lenz was 13.

Holy shit.

I was at the track and never heard anything about it. Did they not find out until later?

I sat and watched this kid talk on stage during an interview the day before.

I feel so bad for his friends and family.

I am so glad I did not see it happen. Geek and his friend watched it unfold in front of their eyes. Very hard thing to see and know. RIP Peter. May you be the next big thing up there on God's racetrack.

It was absolutely horrible. My wife, 3 year old son and I watched this happen and I can't express how terrible it was to watch him laying on the ground unmoving. It was one of those things where you hope and pray for the best, but it just didn't turn out.... My heart goes out to his family and friends during this time. I'm still trying to process what happened in my head, especially having a son myself.
