They quote him at the end of the article: "But if it does change, then it's definitely going to be disappointing for me and I don't know if I'd want to be a part of it."
I think "threatens to quit" is sensationalizing a comment that every one of us would make if we were in his shoes.
What's with the yahoos saying they'd love modified production bikes... wtf?!?! there are pro race series' all over the world that already do that.

I can see the benefits of both sides. Leaving all these electronics in the equation results in better technologies for the manufacturers, which in turn means better products for the consumer. Removing the electronics realigns power and talent to the riders and lessens the effects of equipment.
I just want to see an exciting season full of exciting races.
