    Press release follows:

    R6Live.com to Sponsor Melissa Paris

Salt Lake City, Utah (May 25, 2010) The members and staff of R6Live.com are proud to announce their sponsorship support of AMA Pro rider Melissa Paris this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. Paris was invited back to contest the Salt Lake City round of the World Supersport Championship, and R6Live seized on the opportunity to show their support. The community was asked to raise the funds necessary for the sponsorship, and they responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, meeting the donation goal in less than 18 hours!

Paris, who will contest the weekend on a Yamaha YZF-R6 built by RM Racing, was pleased with the unique prospect of working with R6Live.

“I am so excited to be working with R6Live,” said Melissa. “Anytime someone steps up to help your race efforts, it’s an amazing feeling. But when a group of individuals gets together and does something like this, it kind of catches you off guard. It’s so cool and inspiring knowing that you have this kind of support behind you!”

“Our site is a community of avid racers and race fans,” said Pete Hitzeman, co-administrator of R6Live.com. “So when we saw the chance to work with Melissa to help make her effort come together at Miller this year, we jumped on it! She is truly one of the great personalities in the sport, and has been fantastic to work with in the past. We’re extremely proud to have her represent us this year, and wish her every success this weekend!”

Shame you guys didn't put so much effort into a deserving racer instead of a female personality.

My money goes to my own race effort not Josh Hayes's wife.

Still looking for one functioning member of society on this site that can tell me why MPH over the dozens of more deserving club racers across the country.

If you want results, back a racer
If you want exposure/ publicity, back the wife of one!

There are hundreds of people that are faster and more deserving of support than Josh Hayes's wife.
Don't try and bullshit anyone about why you backed MPH over all that finish ahead of HER.

      Troll indeed.

If you are a homo, my apologies for my crude remarks.. what i posted was definitely uncalled for.

Why should it matter to you why we decide to support any racer? What is up with all the hate?

I find it awesome that she rides an R6 and qualifies in WSS... she needs the support, so we are willing to give it to her. Sure, you think others are more deserving, whatever... what makes you think you can tell us what to do with our money? Bring your hate somewhere else dude.

Well, the leave you money on the counter and GTFO is telling you to just pay your part for the party that you were not invited to, and find the door. The rest of your comments maybe you should look into things before you stick your foot in your mouth. MPH as you have so lovingly nicknamed her is a member of this site, not one that is one here flinging shit all over the webz like some, but a member none the less. And with that said, who are you to judge, or to tell any of us where we should place our money? Who we should pull together and sponsor? Shit, if you are a racer and need some sponsorship, going out and acting like a child, talking trash about individuals in a forum, that includes many club racers, is not a very endearing quality, and for sure not a way to positively promote yourself. Actually you sound like someone that lost their sponsorship to the person that you are putting down. If you are racing later today at MMP, enjoy the view from behind MPH, I know many others have.

so, you're saying that only the fastest racers deserve sponsors? Interesting. Now, if you want to have a CIVIL conversation without the name calling and belittling comments, we are more than willing to do so. But remember your the FNG here.

If you want results, back a racer
If you want exposure/ publicity, back the wife of one!
Obviously being a sponsor is about exposure. I don't think anyone expects a sticker to make them faster on the track. Say what you want, and Melissa may not be the fastest, but its not like she's racing a backyard racing league either. She also has a lot of fans, and that helps us as well. Us giving her exposure on Facebook and our main site, will help get her more exposure. On top of that she is actually a great person in real life, and being a good person does matter.

There will be very few behind MPH.
There are many Racers, not female or married to Josh Hayes, who are dedicated and focused on a career in road racing who deserve support.
I am a racer with better results and less support than MPH. I have not lost money based on the support of you twittering facebook faggots and if I have. I will
still have a soul left when it's over.
Of course she is member, how else would you have heard about her?
I'll eat you're foot if anything I said isn't true.
The forum did not say Join if you agree with us .... you won't see a nickle from me.

If Any of you hippocrates would have admitted to your motives ... done deal.
None would ..... congratulations prepubescent sycophants
What I am attempting to do is open your eyes to the other opportunities that may not garner instant gratification but, will enrich the sport most of
      us love.
I think if you look at all of this objectively, you will see how pathetic the replies have been (I know you are but what am I?)
Hope this has enlightened at least one person ... the rest of you can go fuck yourselves and thanks for the organs.

Be happy to explain "who 'am I to Judge" if you can find a member with a 6th grade education to ask.

Jimmer, to answer your questions (I know you're banned, but likely still reading this):

We sponsored Melissa, and not you, because you're not on the WSS grid. She is. Also, she has a good personality and is a good representative for her sponsors, which, by your display here, you very likely are not (if you even have sponsors). Is she going to win the race? Of course not, but that doesn't mean we can't help her in her efforts. You tell me, are there more deserving YAMAHAS on the WSS grid? No? Do people get a whole lot of traffic from sponsors in club races? No?

      Then STFU.

It's not our job to grow the sport, or provide some sort of purse, or attaboy to a possibly faster racer. It's our job to grow the site, and this is a better way to do that.

Race Report MRA Round 3 - HPR - Race Reports

    Publish Date: June 16, 2010, 1:33 am

    Wow. What a weekend.

I feel like if you squeezed me, I would leak water. It literally started raining when I drove out to the track on Friday and did not stop until 3PM on Sunday.

The weekend was crazy from the get go. My buddy I always pit with got a DUI on Wednesday and was in jail until Friday. So I had no way to contact him or find out what happened. I just knew I needed his generator so I called his roomate and went and picked it up.

So I load the... Read More Read More

    My first race report!

I used to read everybody else's reports and get jealous that I couldn't do the same. Now I can join the ranks of race reporters!

Unfortunately I had to work on Friday so I had to wait until after 5:00pm to head out to the track. From my previous threads you might have heard that the weather was going to be crappy. Well it wasn't! The racing gods gave us sunshine and a few clouds until the last race on Sunday. The very minute the last race was over, it started... Read More Read More
