Here at R6Live.com, one of the main goals in creating this site was to provide R6 owners and motorcycle enthusiasts a haven from the ad-infested marketing engines that have become the norm for the majority of other motorcycle message boards you see today. So many other forums and enthusiast websites sneak in paid advertising, which we have found to be distracting and insulting to our members. The ads on the other sites are the result of many site owners selling out to corporate conglomerates whose only interest is to make money off of their member-base.
R6Live.com was founded as a forum for the R6 community, by the R6 community. Our rapidly expanding membership shares what some may call an unhealthy obsession for riding and racing, both as spectators and participants. We understand the urge to continually test our limits (safely), the passion for the Yamaha R6, sportbikes in general, and really, anything on two wheels.
As Administrators of R6Live.com, we possess equal parts of the ownership of the website. We operate daily under the clear understanding that under no circumstances will this site ever be sold, or a profit be made that is not returned to the community. As members, you have our promise, that along with never selling this site, R6Live.com will never host overly intrusive ads, or require you to pay fees for membership of any kind.
Only select sponsors who work for the benefit of the community will have visible, non-intrusive banners displayed. Those sponsors will also provide R6Live.com members a variety of perks such as every day great deals, group buys, member discounts and even prizes and giveaways. As a method of giving back to the community, the staff of R6Live.com will also organize and sponsor our own giveaways and prize drawings from time to time.
Every forum and message board is operated differently, however we at R6Live.com aim to rise above and beyond all expectations in order to promote what is best for our community. We hope to provide and maintain a place where our members can feel at home, be welcomed, foster friendships, discuss all things R6 or two-wheeled, join organized group rides and track days, get helpful, accurate advice on your riding, or even just pass time at work.
