I do. Easy things are sometimes very difficult to say. The week following my crash I couldnt pronounce names for Sh!t..Even still, 4 months later my brain just seems slow. I dont react to things I normally would, things as simple as someone dropping off papers in my inbox. Conversations with friends are weak.. It sucks..I must have hit my head really hard.

If you havent read my crash story here you go.

Yeah, your speech areas are in the left hemisphere of your brain (Broca's and Wernicke's). You may have had some trauma to the left side.

If I were you, you may want to look into a speech therapist and start relearning some of the basics. It's definitely gotta be challenging but you can do it. Heck your grammar is great!

I've hit my head a few times without any noticeable effects. Once hard enough to knock me out cold.

That doesn't sound good, or normal, man. I didn't read all of the other thread, but did you get your head scanned to make sure there wasn't any internal trauma?

thanks for the replies. Well, I havent really noticed myself talking differently. It just seems I have trouble thinking of words during conversation. I find myself saying "uhmm, you know" stuff like that. As for medically, im sure they did a brain scan, and if anything was messed up I would know. It could be from just not being social for about 2-3 months when I was in the hospital.

For some reason my head always manages to break my fall when i crash haha. So i have had a few concusions but if you are having noticable issues you may want to double check to see if they cat scanned you or not. Better safe than sorry on that one.

I had sort of the same deal with the slow speech stuff...I actually didn't notice it, but my friends used to say that I was talking really slow. This wasn't from a crash though...It was from some weird stroke like thing...It was like my brain overheated and basically at that time speech was almost impossible...Nothing came out right..Anyways I didn't take long for my speech to get back up to speed. Maybe it was 6 month to a year...Again I didn't the slowness, but after that time my friends stopped mentioning it and tripping about it.

Hope it gets better for ya dude.
