Default Can't believe I'm posting here again

My street riding career came to an abrupt end this morning A friend and I went out for a ride (my 1st Sunday ride since my bad crash 2 months ago) and he couldn't get slowed for a right hander and torpedoed me. He's about 260 lbs, and when he and a big ZX12 try to ride up your butt you know it. Unfortunatly somehow his helmet came off and he ended up with a head injury. He will probably be released from the Dr tonight so thankfully it's not that bad. I'm OK, but, the pace we run and two crashes right in a row have made me decide to go track only.

glad it wasn't worse for you and your buddy.

side note, is that a Barber plate on your bike? I didn't know they made them for bikes as well as vehicles.

Glad to see you are ok.

Care to elaborate on your friend?

Is it a minor head trauma or a major ordeal?

    Hopefully he isn't too bad

Yes it is,er....was, a Barber plate. Still waiting for news on my friend. Last I heard he might get sent home so I don't think it was too bad.

I hope your friend is ok, I mean that.

But no offense intended, he is an idiot and your problem is not street riding in this case, it is your choice of riding partners. Always ride within your means and only ride with others who know that rule.

A crash has never bothered me much, but, I damn near died two months ago and it really got to my wife, and then the 1st ride I go on after healing this happens With a baby on the way I can't ask her to worry every time I ride off. I'm just glad she said track only and didn't ask me to pull the plug completely.

Yeah, I can understand that. Sorry about your bike man, not sure if your friend's insurance will pay for it or what.

My friend is home and is really sore, but ok. SO glad it didn't turn out worse. It was really strange because I was in the same position he was (covered by paramedics on the side of the road) a couple of months ago. It was a weird, calm, I've done this before kind of thing
