Wow man I've been starting to get kind of comfortable out on the streets, you just made my balls crawl back into me. I watch at intersections there is always that straggler at the end, I usually rev and pretend I'm going right into them to make them think twice about turning on the red but not anymore, that shit aint funny anymore. I will be getting boots soon now, fuck these docs and my tennis shoes.

Stoked you made it through man, fuck ! Keep your spirits high, seem like a really cool dude. May you heal like Wolverine.

If you can’t get it going with zip ties and electrician’s tape, it’s serious

Holy shit bro that sounded scary. That's why I always keep my distance from cagers in traffic or no traffic.

It sucks. That bike was exactly what I wanted and only had 6K miles on it.

Unfortunately, I think my riding days may be over. I have a whole bunch of good things in my life and just can't see myself taking the risk of the streets anymore (i've never been a track guy.) I feel like I did almost everything right by respecting the bike, adhering to ATGATT for the most part, avoiding unnecessary risks, leaving space, respecting the speed limit, even riding with my high beam on during the day and in a split second some asshole almost took all the good of my life away.

As of right now, even in the car, i have ZERO trust in other motorists and even feel a little gun shy at intersections. In a couple years, i'll get spicy little convertible to satisfy my go fast needs. Its not the same and i'll miss leaning it over, but but that sound of metal to metal at 40+mph is disturbing.

I only rode one time after my accident. I also have a new rule since then, when im driving my truck.

If anyone ever pulls out in front of me again, i will NEVER touch the brakes. I will stand on the accelerator. Fuckers.

    Hang in there.

I'll be "OK" but its been over 2 months and I still have overall body stiffness. I've been doing physical therapy and it helps. I've regained much of the movement in my wrist. The pinky is better, but not great. Although it doesn't seem like a huge deal cause its just a pinky, you're reminded every time you go for the ENTER and SHIFT key on your keyboard.

Wood, I can see the anger towards dipshit motorists may not go away with time.

    Recovery time?

I'm not sure. I think I'm going to deal w/ the acl tear and just strengthen my quads, ankles, hips, hamstrings. I really really don't want another surgery. I'm active, but not juking in a football field or anything so I think i'll be fine. I guess you don't NEED an ACL for running so a few more weeks of PT and I should be maxed out in recovery. Then comes the imminent onset of arthritis. haha.

It just can't. Robbed of a passion leaves one this way, imo.
