    Thumbs down Lowsided

Bah, had to happen eventually I guess.

Took a left hand turn somewhere under 20mph, went over a brick crosswalk for pedestrians that had some sand on it. Bike just didn't want to stand back up, so I hit the brakes and went down with it. Bike ended up partially underneath a truck that was parked on the side of the road. Frame sliders did thier job well. All I broke was the gear shift lever. Ordered one off of ebay for 19.95$ brand new, so it could've been worse I guess.Photo0022.jpg

Didn't even scuff my ICON boots. I was wearing a Jacket, jeans, gloves, and helmet also.
    Not a mark on me.

I figured if I was going down I should do it slowly.

do you remember any specifics about what happened? What triggered the feeling that you were going to fall? what was exactly happening to the bike. Which tire loss traction first?

Sucks you went down and I know this is too late, but the best advice I've ever gotten was at the track. When in trouble roll on the throttle, 99% of the time it'll get you out of the bind, the other 1% will end the suspense much quicker.

Rear tire, felt like it was swinging out on me, happened as soon as I went over the bricks halfway through the turn.

When you felt that, were you on the throttle? I remember when I was first riding getting that same feeling. It was very misleading though because I think most of it was in my head. If the bike did swing from the back, chances are that you were a little too aggressive with the throttle. I could be wrong though

I think I was just feathering the throttle out
