The Bear Mnt, NY I found on google was only like 1hr from Bklyn? is this where you're talking about? doesn't really seem like "Upstate" New York if you ask me.. lol

Now if you're talking up around Blue Mountain in the Adirondacks I might be interested as I've never been to that area of NY.

yea, its the catskills not the adirondacks...it just happens to be a pretty hot biker spot apparently with lots of twisties etc. Bagger dont forget, in Brooklyn, everything is considered upstate for me

I've owned it since brand new in 05 and havent been. I would love to do one of these types of rides but I feel like I'd be lacking in the gear department? I guess the only thing really would be pants and boots as I have a nice joe rocket jacket. I cant stand the look of race suits honestly
Also I know I would hate boots as well because I like to feel my shifter when riding and I dont see that happening in hard molded plastic (something I guess you just get used to). Hey Baker, you ever hear of Bear Mountain in upstate NY? That seems to be a huge riding spot and I heard the scenery is amazing during the foliage change in the fall. I'd definitely be down this season to do something local like that if anyone from the North East is down
Everyone thinks that until they ride in boots for the first time. Then they never want to ride without them. I NEVER ride anywhere without my boots, I'll go as far as wearing them to class/work if I'm riding (I'll bring a pair of shoes to change into). Suits can be had pretty damn cheap, especially at STG, they are always having sales and Nick will hook it up.
