I just checked out your tracks, nice ride, Dan! I might do something this weekend up to VT/NH if I can put a few things off. Been thinking about riding the Kancamangus Hwy up by the NH/ME border. We'll see.

Im def buying a GPS guys...have no fear. The only thing that should be fearful is my credit card.

Im probably gonna go for a ZUMO of sorts in a month or two. Right now I just ordered the last bit for the tank bars...the LIGHTS. WOOT!. The GS has some nice headlights, but more is always better. But for the GPS I definitely want something with a index of gas stations in the memory. Im averaging 250 miles at least (city/backroads) per tank and aux tank. I could probably stretch that to 300 ish on open roads.

However I did find out that the iphone is glove friendly, if u turn on the heated grips and heat up the glove finger tips.

I was just planning on keeping it in the garage and look it like most Ducati owners do.

Shit my bad Dan. I didnt see your post till just now. For some reason im not getting ANY emails about new posts.

Anyways, nothing new really. Its been a quiet month. The last thing i did to the bike was throw on the AUX lights on the tank crash bars. They give out a TON of light. Not much for distance , but they light up the immediate area in front of the bike, a full 180 degrees side to side. I dodged a possum one night with the help of those things already. They also proved helpful last week, when I was riding home from work , 11 at night in the pouring rain with dense fog in spots. Of course...i still have no raingear yet so....I got soaked. Which i didnt mind ONE bit. Its only cold and wet when you stop and get off the bike. I acually LOVE riding in the bad weather. During the summer i got caught out in a severe t-storm cell. Thunder, lighting, driving rain....It was great. I should of kept going and found me some dirt roads too.

Anyways, My season is not done yet, but its getting there. Ill be riding to at least the end of november. Once the temps hit upper 20's...im done. I been riding to work in the mornings lately and its been 35-43 degrees out only. But as long as its above 30...im game. If i had heated gear, maybe even lower temps.

The other thing that might stop me for the season is the major 36k service thats due. I got 35,500 on the clock now. So I'm right there. When I hit 36k or so, im gonna tear it down for the service and probably put it to bed soon after.

I got a slightly new plan formulating now....

I got word that my cousin is getting an internship in london next summer. So that got me some gears turning. And I just talked to a buddy of mine and were're coming up with plans to fly to the UK and ride all of england, scotland, wales...and maybe ferry over to mann and ireland if possible. Maybe bballman can chime in on this. I know the Uk has some stricter bike laws there and all.....
