    Default Dirt bike time!

So I've decided the time has come that I need a dirtbike again.. Just not sure which direction to go..

Right now its looking like a CR 125/ 250.. Maybe a yz..

But I will consider 4 strokes too.. I dont know much about the newer bikes, like the 426's..or any of the crf's etc. I would prefer to keep it between honda and yammy though.

I'm really missing the 2 stroke feel though. Found an 05 cr125 with a 144 kit, it looks interesting.. I just want something to bomb around on, light and nimble. And to wheelie the shit out of.. thoughts?

2 strokes are always fun because of the power but you got to mix gas and stay on top of the maintenance. I had a 05 crf250 for awhile and the thing was awesome.

I doubt I'll ride it a whole lot.. More just a toy to jam on once and a while.. I have several other toys that eat up my spare time. (quad/sled/r1/seadoo) so this is just something to screw around on (only have a friend or 2 with dirtbikes now, so can't see us doing it much, where as we may go quading for the day, or away on the sport bikes for a weekend). Which is why I may not jump to a 250, I really dont want to have to work to ride it.

    ughh Just read this>

The average service life is 10-30hrs for rings and 20-60hrs for piston changes.

That does not interest me.. Perhaps I will stick to a 4 stroke.

I don't believe those numbers at all. Friends have had tons of 2 strokes before that they would just absolutely beat on and not have to do anything like that.
