Default So I figured out why....

Tall socks and boots are recommended for riding, <facepalm>

Lost confidence before a sharp turn (In a god damn vacant parking lot) so I decided to slow it down and stop and clutch walk it like the pussy I am. Well, I guess I was turned more than I though because when I came to a stop the bike kept leaning to the left. It was super slow mo. I knew it was past the point where I could catch it so I just eased it on down and jumped off before it hit the ground.

Well, when I jumped off I leaned my right ankle against the exhaust. BURN BABY BURN! I was a complete tard since I was wearing tennies and low cut ankle socks. I figured my jeans were long enough. I was so wrong.

So tomorrow I'm back at it. Starting and stopping are almost down to a science. Now I just have to work on turning.

Stay tuned for more updates from the pussy beginner determined to turn bad ass biker chick.

ohh man, I remember when I was younger I burnt my leg bad on my dad's chrome exhaust pipe on his harley. He was taking me to a little league travel baseball game and I burnt it jumping off the bike when I got there(straight skin on pipe due to short baseball pants). Had to play the game with this nasty ass pussy blister on the inside of my right ankle....weaaaak

Figure 8's and sharp turns make me I know I have to conquer it, but still.

I showed it to my friend today (It's really angry) and she suggested I see the doc. It has 2-3 layers of skin burnt off and the rest is purple and angry. I may go to Med Check tomorrow. The burn patch I have on it has Ladocaine in it so it's not hurting too bad.

Wow ruff start, she's already burned you and layed down on the job, you gotta tame this diva. I can relate to the weight feeling rediculous when you're begining, my 400 lb. R6 felt like a monster but after a while could easily wiggle it between my legs. Hope you have sliders on there to save lights and paint. Look through the turn and the bike will follow, you will learn this in the class doing figure eights.

Thank Thrill. I do have to man up. The weather was rotten yesterday, so hopefully more practice today.

Here's a pic of what it looks like today. I wrapped it in spoiler tags cuz it's gnarly.

    Spoiler: show

Bum deal Regan, sorry to hear it! I remember back when I was beginning on my 04 Daytona 600 I had a couple close ones like that. My buddy that got me in to riding dropped his bike a few times cuz he was a skinny ass pussy vegan.

But yeah, we would spend time at the MSF course @ MSAC on the weekends when no one was there doing the figure 8 thing and practicing turning sharper and sharper in each direction and doing "hard braking" as we thought it was at the time.

One day I was riding through a parking lot by my house and came up to the driveway apron that was slightly tilted to the left. Came to a stop and the bike just started going over on me. It was everything I had in me to keep it from hitting the ground, but somehow I managed to pull it up from what felt like about a 50 degree lean angle all with my arms, shoulders, and back while standing in an awkward position.

Keep at it, you'll get it! You'll get better at determining the left right balance point of the bike when it's stopped and pretty soon it wont be a big deal at all. Also remember, the faster you go, the easier it is to turn! Now pin it!
