They do have some great battery life. I knew a girl that had a white plastic MacBook, it must have been like 10 years old and it could stay on and unplugged forever. She would leave it at my house under my bed, screen closed, power on, and just come over and open it up and use it for a bit and put it back. I couldnt believe it. The battery on my 14" gateway lasts for about 20min
