If your in edinburgh and just want a afternoon/day ride the east coast tourist route is good, it takes you from edinburgh to the borders, however if you want serious routes for fast riding go north up to fort william on the west highland road, scotland would be right up there for the best routes in the world if it wasnt for the weather "shame" check weather first mate
