and yeah ultra, its painful... i miss cheap gas. filling up even a small car is pain... $100 a tank from empty.

took some time to get their feedback but i contacted our local people to check for bike rental and this is what they came up with until now (not so promising)

Budapest (Hungary): doesn't seem to exist. my colleague called a few rental companies but the only rent cars...

Bucharest (Romania): only some scooters here: MotoRental - Inchirieri moto

Also, I think, they could require you to have a European drivers license.
