Yeah, might have to do that. I live in Atl with the wife and 2 kids and was looking for a new gig after 12 years with the same company. A guy who used to be Executive Vice President of our Paperboard division (its a paper and packaging company) left and became CEO of a new paper company in Philly. He heard I was l looking and contacted me to see if I wanted to work for him. It's a sweet gig....but it's in Philly. He said he would fly me up ever week, pay travel, get a corp apartment, etc. for 6 months and then we'd talk. Also a nice $40k bump from where I was at. They will pay for a relocation package whenever, if ever, I want. It's a director position but I report right to him and do CIO / VP of IT things as those positions don't exist. It will likely turn into a CIO title and I just couldn't pass it up!

Yeah, I had dinner in the hotel room tonite in front of the laptop with Skype on, and my wife and kids were having dinner with Skype on their end. Next best thing.

haha yah man i hear ya, at times it hardly seems worth it, but then my assholeness gets the best of me and i can't resist. so wait, you moved to philly permanently or just for a short stint? your fam movin up to at some point or what? thats gotta be tough regardless, family is huge to me. i'm heading to nyc here in a couple weeks (not sure how far that is from philly) but if you aren't busy and it isn't far, maybe shoot over for a night and pretend like we're in college again haha.
