Ok, so it's your connection speed thats causing you the low ratios and slow downloads then. Are you using dial-up or something?
OK, well I drank too many beers at my softball game last night and didn't run the test. So, I just ran it 3 times......first time from server in Boise, ID DL = 0.42 Mb/s, UL = 0.42 Mb/s and 310 ms, second Modesto DL = 0.32 Mb/s, UL = 0.33 Mb/s and 146 ms, final Portland, OR DL = 0.59 Mb/s, UL = 0.56 Mb/s and 174 ms.
Ok, so what was your speed test result? You should have three numbers, one in ms and two in Mb. It should look like this:
