Not really totally 100% sure on that. I havent done the mod. The purpose is explained in that thread in detail by Powerban. He's the one that is probably the engine guru. Nate takes gearbox and I do suspension.
lol, dude, you posted the reply in your own profile. You're supposed to post it in my profile Anyway, yeah, your bike looks cool. You need a better camera though I would say these are important threads to read: My part swap thread www.r6central.com/forums/r6-modifications/15676-2001-conversion-04-swingarm-00-r1-forks.html Nate's airbox mod thread www.r6central.com/forums/r6-modifications/31004-first-gen-airbox-mod.html Nate's gearbox thread www.r6central.com/forums/r6-maintenance-technical/20729-my-winter-project-cleaning-transmission-swap.html Those should answer both of your questions and more
so u used the whole swing arm for the rear? im not stupid im a diesel mechanic lol i know about shims, the bikes color scheme goes very well with everything u have mines alright it just hasnt seen my touch yet since i just bought the bike. quick question, if i put the vent tube on the wrong barb would it cause the bike to bog when i try to move, i know its a noobish question i just like more than one persons input..http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...541de305bf.jpg
Talk here, it's easier, doesnt clog up your inbox. To answer your question, yes, my bike is the shit, I know this. But seriously, I'm using the '04 wheels and rotors. You have to shim the calipers in about 1.5mm-2mm for them to line up right if you're using the 1st gen R6 or R1 forks. The rear wheel, I dont know, I'm using the '04 rear end on mine so I dont know if it works with the 1st gen rear end.
