    Default Motovation Bar End Weights

as seen here: Yamaha Bar End Weights / Sliders - R1, R6

just got them and put them on. the things flat out rock. i swapped my stockers out for barend sliders (plastic pieces of shit), and just recently bought these in hopes of calming down the buzz in the handle bars. well after a short ride i noticed a HUGE difference. they were worth every penny. i highly recommend them.

$60 + shipping. add $4 if you want the black ones instead of the polished ones.

I think I'm going to look into getting these, my last long ride ended with tingly hands. Thanks for the link.

well they arent a substitute to keeping the weight off your hands, but they definitely cut down the vibrations. i'd get them man, you wont be dissapointed.

Very true. I have the black ones and love them as well. I'll ride for 4-5 hours and be just fine and ready to ride more.

I know it's been over a year since the last post on this thread. But I am looking to cut down the handlebar vibes as much as possible and these look like they will help. I am just wondering how the allen head bolts secure them to the bars? I mean the factory bar ends have like a 3/4" diameter threaded rod that screws into the bar end and these are showing a 1/4" allen bolt. Do they come with some sort of threaded studs that are threaded on the outside to fit into the bars and then they are drilled and tapped in the center so these thread into them or what?

    Thanks for any info guys!

I have no idea at all what you're talking about, but the stock bar ends you unscrew the 5/6mm allen on the end of it and pull them off, I'm assuming these are the same as all other bar ends, line them up, screw them in, done. There's nothing more to it. I replaced my stock ones with Delrin ones because they stick out a bit more to keep my brake/throttle from catching if I happen to go down. I also chose Delrin because it will slide better in the event of a fall. Same reason you dont see many people running aluminum/metal frame sliders. I would love the vibration dampening but at the risk of more damage in a crash and 60$ price tag I'd have to pass. A good set of gel grips will give you vibration dampening as well.

Apparantly its an 05 previous r6 and later model r6s thing. I just welded some 5/8" bar stock on the inside ends of my bar ends to add weight and fill the hollow handlebars. It helped some. I also already have driven gel grips.
