    I have a '01 R6 and I was wondering.

    Could i fit a '03-'05 Akrapovic slip on exhaust on my model. I know the 1st and 2nd gen bike have the same exhaust but I just wanna make sure before I go spending the money i dont have.

    I know someone that tried this and it didn't work. Not sure of the reason.

    you could do it, if you got the header too....the exit on the headers are like 3/8s inch difference if I remember correctly

    It should be pretty close to OE headers, however if it doesn't fit you can get an exhaust pipe adapter from autozone and slip that on.

    I wouldn't, just pick up a second gen header they are everywhere for 40 bucks and it improves sound...however you are going to be doing some tuning because it leaned my bike out pretty bad. I just dont see using an adapter...it will change the mounting on the bike by pushing it back or whichever....
