Chain Lock

This is a discussion on Chain Lock within the Product Testing and Review forums, part of the Sportbike Operation category; anybody know any good chain lock i can use to tie my bikes down so it won't get stolen...i'm storing ...

    anybody know any good chain lock i can use to tie my bikes down so it won't get stolen...i'm storing my girlfriends gsxr and my 04 R6 for the winter in the back of my parents house...unfortuantely their garage is small and i can't fit them in there...any help would be greatly appreciated

    OnGuard and Kryptonite seem to be available at most local bike shops, and would probably get the job done.

    If money is not an issue, this is probably the best chain out there:

    Keep in mind, none of these (or any other anti-theft devices) will actually stop someone with enough determination from stealing your bikes. I'd recommend a good chain lock and some sort of floor anchor.

    thanx for the advice hurley...i have a new scorpion alarm on my r6 and a disc lock on the gsxr...i was planning on wrapping the chain around both rear wheels and around this big post

    +1 on Kryptonite locks and chains. They typically have a warranty that will replace a bike if it can be proven it was stolen through the chain/lock.

    I had a Xena disc lock for about 4 years until I lost the key. The locksmith had the lock off within 45 seconds, however it was weathered.
