    Default Knox handroid review

Ok so here's my review after riding w/ these gloves (which I won in the r6live giveaway) for the past 2 weeks.

    Pros
    - They look bad ass
    - The leather is super soft, nothing on the inside what would cause any discomfort
    - They've got just about every protection feature there is, I can't think of anything that's missing (the sliders that are just about everywhere - fingers, palm, wrist).
    - They feel so solid- Quality, there's nothing cheap or flimsy about these gloves.
    - I feel extremely protected by these gloves
    - Ventilation is good...hands got cooler on my morning rides w/ the droids than my other (joe rocket) gloves. Can't say I felt a huge difference riding home in the afternoons.

    Cons
    - I wish the fingers were just a bit more pre-curved. It's been a couple weeks (about 50 miles a day total commuting to work and back) and seems like they still need to be broken in a little more
    - Not really a con but a concern: seems like there's a few things that could break off in a crash, and I'm not sure if anything can be replaced or not if needed. Mainly talking about the plastic plate thing on top of the hand, and the dial and laces for the wrist (the boa tightening system)
    - There's a leather cover that covers the velcro on the wrist strap (under the wrist, see 1st pic below), which kinda gets in the way a little when you're trying to tighten the strap. Not a big deal when you're tightening the strap w/ your ungloved hand/fingers, but can be a little tricky w/ the glove on.

Overall, quality is top notch and there's protection everywhere you need it. They use some kangaroo leather in the palms I think, and the rest of the leather just feels...better than less expensive gloves (which is what you'd expect and these don't disappoint). And did I say? They look awesome. Oh and the mediums I got are a little more snug than my other gloves, not sure if these are just a touch smaller than other gloves, so you may want to try these on before buying (online).

If price isn't an issue, I'd definitely recommend these gloves. If price is an issue you could probably get by w/ some less expensive gloves but you'd definitely sacrifice some protection.

awesome! thanks for the review. to cover your cons:

1: they do take a little bit of break in, but i thought they should be there by now. they've got a decent amount of precurve, i've never thought that i wanted more.
2: that white top piece is 100% replaceable. it's there purely to finish the look of the glove. it's not meant to be structural. the boa knob crashes well (unfortunately i know personally) and it also carries a complete warranty. they get a little chewed up in a crash but i've never seen one not work afterwards. just think of it as a cool battle scar.
3: i've had a ton of customer ask for covers over that wrist tightening strap. in a crash, that helps to ensure that you dont blow apart that strap and require a repair on that specific part of the glove.

Thanks! Reassuring to know the boa knob is strong enough to withstand a crash. And good point about the cover over the tightening strap, I didn't think of that. My cons weren't really cons, more like splitting hairs I love these gloves.

I had trouble with my left hand pinky rubbing on what seems was a piece of leather maybe that wasnt cut properly, it would either be above my nail pushing down or below it pushing it up, tried cutting my nail as low as possible and still was bothersome. Being that my dad has worked with leather his whole life, I knew it would give sooner or later and bend towards one way or another and it has!
Its no longer a problem, also I had the same issue with that leather piece that goes over the strap but now im able to take off the velcro without any problem with the hand that still has the glove on.
Also, the left hand BOA lacing system chord that is closer to my elbow has always been curved downwards toward my elbow and I find myself having to use my right hand to get it over the gauntlet piece so that when I turn the dial it wont get caught, so what I do now is just put on the left hand glove first so my right hand (ungloved) can easily remedy this.
The gloves are awesome, so awesome, I dont want to send mine in to have these items checked because I dont want to be without them! My advice, if possible is try on the pair you want to but for size and for these things to make sure yours dont have these issues.
??Question for sportbike track gear.... you have a return policy, but who pays for the return shipping??
    Thanks!

I have had a pair for a couple of years now. Picked them up pretty quickly after they first came out. I find the comfort excellent. The white plastic piece on one hand disappeared some time ago but no great loss.

I did have a minor low side at the track and though they protected my hands ok, the stitching came apart on two of the fingers on one hand and I had to get those re-stitched. I felt that was a little weak, could have just been a bad set, not sure.

Overall, I have liked them a lot and feel the armor is excellent. They have been the first gloves I grab for, particularly on the track.
