Default End of an era, sold the 6...on to the next adventure!

Yesterday sold my 2003 R6 Limited (black/flames), after having bought it new and putting 13,047 miles on it. I listed it on Craigslist, and in 23 hours it was sold for full asking price.
Bike was in mint condition, no scratches or dents, with an LED fender eliminator, Vortex frame sliders, and a Devil Carbon OVO exhaust. In case you're wondering, she sold for $3250.

Here she is 3 days ago:

Now why you may ask? I'm ready for something a little more roomy for my 6'4" frame, as well as more power. Having ridden a brand new CBR1000RR for 10 hours a month ago, I am bitten by the power bug. The bikes on my short list: New R1, new CBR1000RR, new Z1000, new Ducati Hypermotard 1100. I have the money in hand now, just have to decide!

That bike (specifically with the Devil can) is my favorite R6. That bike, and the R1 just like it, are the ones who started my love for Yamaha.

Same here Adam. I love how the pipe matches the bike so well.
I want to have the same flawlessness to my next bike. A few tasteful mods, but let the bike speak for itself.

I have to agree 99.9%. The red flame R6 originally caught my eye, but then the 06 R6 Blue won me over

    Beautiful bike btw

Have you checked out the new Ducati Multistrada 1200? This would have been on the top of my list if it was out a year ago. Does it all really well it seems... Just the price tag... wow...

Yep, wasn't too worried about making the maximum amount of cash, just wanted to unload it so I could get a new bike. Part of my reasoning on not even asking for more was that there are hundreds of R6's for sale in my area (greater Boston area), and they are only slightly more than what I was asking. Granted, mine was in better shape by a mile, I wanted to make a quick sale, and not get lots of tire kickers looking to haggle. I had a ton of responses in less than 10 hours, and sold it in under 1 day.

I'm actually now almost all lined up on buying a new R1, with the sale money as the downpayment.
