    i dont have a garage because i live in an apt. and was wondering what you guys do with your bikes living in an apartment?i have been in this apt. for about 5 years and always left my bike outside all summer. it never staid clean. i will be getting a new bike over the winter or spring and would like to have something to put it in. i have a parking spot but its asphalt. was thinking of something like in the link below but dont know of a way to attach it to the ground so it dont blow away. any thoughts?

    Most apartments won't let you put up a permanent or semi permanent structure. I'd go with a bike cover that locks around the bottom, but not something that has R6 or BMW on it. Maybe a 1983 Goldwing sticker on it.

    I love seeing what kind of bike is under the cover without ever lifting it up.

    i dont live in an apt. complex, its a big ass old farm house with 2 apt's in front and the homeowner in back. the home owner is really cool.

    I had two apartments.
    One of them was on the ground level and I kept the bike inside.

    The other was on the third floor.
    I bought an ASTRO van and kept the bike stored in it

    That would suck if they hot wired the van. perfect getaway... its already loaded. of course they would HAVE to know you store it in there.

    Very true.
    I think the odds of the bike being stolen out in the open were better than someone seeing the bike in the van and stealing the van.
    Lesser of two evils was putting it in the Van IMO.

    I live in an apt and I gotta keep my bike at my parents house in the garage...no where to put it at the apartment and Im definitely not leaving it on the streets of Brooklyn (guaranteed insurance claim lol)
