24/7 ninjas are obviously the best, but other than that garages, disc locks, chains, and even rolling it into first floor apartments have been used by members. it can definitely be hard at times, but the best response to theft is full coverage insurance imo![]()
lol well the ninjas are on backorder...ill have to look into disc locks...and the bike is kept in my garage thats attached to the house :-)...and i have full coverage...i guess im set lol
Pretty much...if a thief wants it bad enough they will get it. One final suggestion to keep bike safe is to limit advertising you have one to every jackwad out there too.

scorpio makes some pretty decent alarms, that's what I have on mine. If someone even puts their hand on it, the alarm goes off, and it's loud and annoying. Also, if I'm within a quarter mile or so of it, my key fob will start flashing and vibrating to alert me someones messing with my bike. I have already shot and killed 4 people that tried to sit on my bike at my house, thanks to my alarm.
don't keep the key in the bike. and chain it up to something solid.
I actually forgot the key on the bike a few times when I first got mine. Having a wheel lock helps me remember because the wheel lock key is on the same ring.
I would recommend keeping it in a garage or storage shed, out of plain site helps a lot. Also most people I park next to in the motorcycle parking at school don't have locks on their bikes so I figure a simple wheel lock with its bright orange cord around the throttle would make a potential thief go for the easier prey i.e. the bikes with no extra locks.
I wish I had the cash for a 200$ alarm with a pager or even a lojack system for my bike.
If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don't really want to do it, you will find an excuse.
ya i bought the wheel lock...at school only 1-2 bikes have them on at all...so id rather them go for targets that are less secure than mine...every little bit helps..and i have left my key in the ignition before (prior to the wheel locks)...and it was like that overnight..luckily it was in my garage at the time
