    Hey, good photo documentary.

One thing to note: (although I'm unsure how important it is)

The Yamaha manual indicates that upon reassembly of the outer pressure plate, the punch marks on the inner clutch hub and the outer pressure plate have to be lined up (because they rotate together, and are perhaps balanced together? They should be almost perfectly symmetrically balanced by themselves anyway, in my opinion.)

When I was working as a mechanic, I always made sure I lined these up when I serviced clutches.

Anyway, here's a picture of it. You can see the punch marks in photo 4 and 5 of your photoset.

    good catch^

i know i did that the first time i put it together, but looking back on it...i may have forgotten that step when i had to redo it the second time around

i probably got sloppy on the second install. if i did there have been no ill effects since it so doesn't seem too important but like you i still like to do it the right way. ill make sure to recheck that when i tear down the engine.

    thanks!
