This is a discussion on axle tool that holds the caliper in place within the R6 Maintenance & Technical forums, part of the Yamaha R6 category; ^not so much for pushing the axle out, more so for keeping the caliper in place to make it easier ...

I always wondered how they changed them so fast at the IOMTT and 24 hour races.

That is awesome but something I do not need.

That's Armen's Manougian's bike from Team Allstars Relentless Racing. It was Armen Manougian, Curtis Adams, Jeff Stern, and Reno Karimian, who are a few of the Willow KFG's. They were the ones pitted next to us that kept blowing fuses on their bike. They took second in the endurance race. MYLAPS Results

Here's one of their pit stops, fuckin ridiculous! But the difference is, aside from all the trick quick change parts was they also had a dry break on the bike, and were actually out trying to win the race. We were just going out to dick around with some "quicker than stock change" parts.

Thing about that Gixxer is it's a former AMA superbike, circa like 05 or something. Makes something ridiculous like 200HP to the wheel too. It's fitted with actual, super trick, REAL quick change parts, meaning the wheels were custom and allowed the cush drive to stay on the bike and all sorts of cool crap like that.

I dont have any pictures of the actual shelves I built, but here's what I designed in SolidWorks. The pieces in orange are what I built and attached to the Attack stand hooks, the Attack pieces are shown in red, & are what attaches to the bike. I just didnt bother drawing the actual hooks that bolt to that:

I made that big "pad" large enough to hang off the inside of the swing arm and hold the hub of the wheel where it could slide all the way forward so you could put the chain on. I then set the height of the pad to be about .030" low so when you push the axle through it would pick the wheel up off the shelf to keep it from dragging on the wheel. I think I could have maybe still used a tad more clearance though just to be sure it wouldnt drag on the wheel, but I didnt want to go too low and have it not work for us.
Those blocks are super cool; I want to make a set. Would you be willing to share the solidworks file?

Those blocks are pretty trick. I would love to build my own set. Would you be willing to send me the solidworks files so I could machine my own set?
