everything is torqued, no left/right play. left side of the pivot axle is flush with the frame.
This is a discussion on 06+ guys - check something for me and compare within the R6 Maintenance & Technical forums, part of the Yamaha R6 category; with this pic: everything is torqued, no left/right play. left side of the pivot axle is flush with the frame....

Ttt

What exactly is the issue Nate? You got some slop in the width it looks like? Did you follow the proper method / use the proper torques for putting in the pivot axle? Been while since I've done mine, but there's 3 steps to get it done properly.
IIRC, the axle threads into the frame first with a light torque, then you put the nut on the same side the axle threads into using a heavier torque, which holds the axle in place so you can put the nut on the other side at the heaviest torque. I think that's the way it goes, but I don't remember exactly.
You got all the dust covers and stuff for the swingarm bearings installed properly right?
yea, all the spacers and covers etc are on. I torqued it down according to the book. there is no slop, i'm just not used to or remember seeing a spacer there between teh dust cover and the frame.

Yeah me either, but I doubt they would allow the dust cover to rub directly on the frame. Does the swingarm wiggle left to right at all when it's all tightened down?
no but i will double check all that when I get home.
