    Default help with 2008 yamaha r6 silver.

    hey there i had my bike painted cadillac white diamond and the right cowling/fairing was taken apart. there is a plastic piece that connects the two pieces together. i connected them again and there is these two items + a clip. idk where they go can someone direct me. i didnt take these parts off myself so i dont know. they had to take it off for painting and didnt put them back on. thanks

    those rubber grommets are probably spacers for the bolts that attach your fairings directly to the engine/chassis. Not sure what that metal tab is though.. (see posts below)

    Metal tab looks like the piece that holds the passenger seat lock in place, check to see if the lock is loose. The rubber grommet nuts look like the ones that are used to secure the windscreen?

    ^+1. Those rubber grommets I think are for the windscreen, and I'm pretty certain the clip is for the passenger seat compartment lock.

    The one's that attach to the engine or chassis have the aluminum sleeve in the middle to prevent you from smashing to the fairings by overtightening.
