Default 07 r6 start up issues when cold

I've been having issues on starting up my bike in the mornings. My problem is keeping my bike turned on when it is cold. I turn it on and aftera minute or so, it turns off then turning it back on is a pain, I need to apply gas to stay on Cus once I let the throttle go, it will turn off until it hits the 165 mark... Give and take some. Just recently changed the spark plugs and air filter because of this

That is quite odd? Is the EFI light on? I have not messed with my FI bikes to much but its sounds like it could be a enrichment problem. If they have a sensor that measures ambient temp it could be faulty causing the machine to not run rich to compensate for the cold.

Grab a service manual and check the troubleshooting section is first place I'd start

^top of this forum are some manuals you can download

did you just take it out of storage? or did this just happened out of the blue while you were riding it regularly?

Battery could be low. However turning off os weird. Is the idle low when it does this?

It happened out of the blue, i just turned it on one morning to let it warm up and it just turned off..... it usually does it on cold mornings. And the idle seems fine when warmed up.

How many miles? y 06 started doing the same thing and it was right around the time I needed to adjust my valves. Adjusted them and all was well again.

Yup, mine's the same way and I still haven't adjusted the damn valves.

First start of the day is usually a long crank, then it runs for a bit and stalls out, then I play hell getting the thing running again. Once it warms up it's OK after that though.

I have 19k miles on it, and i went to a shop and they told me it must be the valve adjustment but then i went to another one and said it was too early for that to be the problem, as in too little miles...he also said if it is that, it would be very rare... so if you guys have the same issue then it must be the valve adjustment:/ the first shop said $255 plus parts... sounds pretty pricy to me...
