Default Pics of my bar end mirrors - custom fabricated bar ends and mirror block off plates

I wanted to pick up some bar end mirrors for my 1st gen. Sadly, I couldn't find aftermarket bar ends that would fit the CRG mirrors.

Fortunately, my dad has various machining equipment (lathe, press, etc) shop in our basement. So we picked up some hard plastic bar ends he cut them to fit.

Here is a pic of what we were going after:

    Here's a pic of the parts pre-fab:

I like the placement but how's the vibration visibility at speed? and what is the cost to replace the mirrors? Looks like if the bike ever tips over cut it looks they will be the first thing to break.

I just got back from a quick ride (just for you bagger ).

    Absolutely zero vibration.

Visibility is what it is; it will never be like OEM mirrors but since the mirrors are convex you can see pretty far. But you have to keep in mind that objects in mirror are closer than they appear.

I don't plan on dropping the bike any time soon - had it 6 years and never happened. Knock on wood.

The mirrors are $48/ea. at MotoWheels.com.

I went ahead and added a few more pictures to the original post.
