Not sure if this is a factor in regards to exhaust, but titanium has better corrosion resistance than stainless steel.

Yeah, not worth the extra dough unless you're really serious about racing and eliminating every ounce of weight you can to make the best power to weight ratio possible.

If you're that concerned, you're likely also skipping meals and starving yourself before races too so you drop a couple extra lbs. and you gain that little edge.

HP isn't any better or worse with either material.

Just go with the stainless. You can skip a few meals if you're concerned about the 3lb. difference.

I have the Ti exhaust on my race bike, I know others who like the SS, Performance wise they are going to be about the same other than the weight. The Ti looks cooler than the SS imho.

be weary of where the exhaust mounts to the exhaust port of the engine. i've seen some graves exhaust break there causing exhaust leaks. i know they are working on fixing this problem, but those that already have them just keep an eye on it when you inspect your bikes.

I’ll keep an eye on it, thanks for the heads up.

I had heard a rumor that the TI was more susceptible to cracking than the SS, but I have nothing to back that up with.

I have the SS on my '09, 3 years and no issues.

Blues from the heat just the same, sounds the same, looks the same, just weighs about a large hoagie more!

Same money and go the SS route, just be sure to periodically check the collar torques and you'll be fine.

The only real difference in their exhausts that I have seen since '06 is:

    1. they used to have an ugly, high mount, full can until they went with the slant tip, shorter can style
    2. they now have crossover pipes between the runners to help with back pressure.
