    Default Suspension overhaul

So I have around 32k on my 06 and can tell the suspension is in need of some TLC. It is all stock and never messed with so I wanted to get some advise on upgrades.

Obviously I am going to replace the seals and upgrade the springs and replace the fluid. I was also wondering about valving and how much better it will make the suspension.

For some reason I have never been confident in the suspension on my 06 like I was on my 02. Was thinking the valving could help. Would it be worth it for street riding? I want to do a few trackdays this coming year so I know it will be nice for that but I mostly commute 60 miles a day so not sure if it's worth it.

I had a chance to ride my roommates 09 zx6 with the big piston forks and man it was amazing. Honestly makes me want to look into doing a front end swap since it comes with huge rotors and the braking is much better then on the r6. Gotta look into it I guess.

Yes I would say if you're gonna be doing some servicing, go all the way and do valves. Once you have the forks apart enough to do seals, the valves are quick, and make a huge difference.

Quit being a vag. Don't bother with valving, just do springs, good fluid and seals. Lack of front end confidence on R6's is normal. Gotta ride through it.

If you aren't doing much track riding I don't think the valving would be worth it. Have you ever had your suspension set up? It makes a HUGE difference. Don't forget to service the rear shock also, it probably needs it just as bad.

    That's what I was thinking.

That is what I'm trying to fix BRO!!! Get a hookup from racetech so I think I will just do it all.

I did but it is just worn after 30k miles on everything stock and needs to be fully redone.

RaceTech if you wanna do it yourself. There are a few companies that do it for you if you can send them out. Depending on where you live, there may be a reputable place near you.

Traxxion Dynamics makes a nice ak47 drop in kit for the front suspension. I think it's about a grand.
