Yeah, I don't think I would do this as a permanent solution. It would be more for a fun project or to try out a design first before actually painting a vehicle.

I've put it on the wheels of my 4Runner, had it there for over a year now not any issues at all. It's held up surprisingly well going down trails and through water crossings.

Seems like everyone on the Tacoma forums use it for everything from blacking out emblems to wheels, etc. Seems to work fine. As for the cracking, most people said you can just touch it up like bed armor.

Bump. Been doing the plastidip treatment to my Mini. De-chroming everything I can.

Currently painting the hood scoop. This weekend, I'll tackle the wheels.

Looks like Vinyl wrap, getting very popular. I have a friend that does it and I plan on using it to hold my tattered race plastic's together with this stuff. VividRacing.com Performance Racing Parts » Insane Matte Gray Carbon Wrapped Ferrari 360

Looks great Adam. You taking pieces off or just taping them off before spraying them?

Almost as good as that Ferrari.... Almost.

    Hah..

I take them off to get smoother coverage. Also works well for hard surfaces inside..

    I forgot about this stuff.

I might use it on my bike until I get someone that knows what they are doing to paint the bike.
