    ok so im leaving the drag strip tonight and my clutch starts to slip in every gear when ever i try to get on it at all so now im trying to find out if there is a way to fix what i got and if not weres the best place to go and what do i need and do you think i can put it in not had much experiance with workin on bikes done a little on cars.i dont wanna mess it up any worse then what it is

    08 r6 what all do i need to get and what kinda price we lookin at wouldnt mind doing a little up grades to it while im in there but nothin to crazy still want it to be streetable any ideas

    Check your front sprocket nut first.

    doesn't the 08 have a slipper clutch? if so it will vary from my how to, but it shouldn't be by much. just when you take it apart make sure you put it back exactly the way you took it off.

    mine was 180 (i dont remember its in the how to)

    ok i called today and yami shop told me it was gonna be about 96 dollars for the plate said something about i shouldnt need the steele plates might be just be but compared to other prices ive heard thatsreal cheap anyone think they might be trying to get me to buy this just to have to buy more

    they are right with the fact you don't need the steels. my friction plates were about that much. so its seems reasonable.

    but you DO have to buy other things on top of that. new gasket, complete oil w/ filter change and new springs (if you have them?)

    but this is for a conventional clutch. slippers seem to similar but yet different.

    wait. what is "the plate"

    you should be needing 7-8 fibers (friction plates) depending on what you have.

    7 fibers for me was around 94 dollars.
