This is a discussion on 2007 R1 within the R6 Warranty and PreMature Failure forums, part of the Yamaha R6 category; If you have one, check your stock rearsets often...I've had two snap on me in mid turn now....just fyi.......

    If you have one, check your stock rearsets often...I've had two snap on me in mid turn now....just fyi....

    Wow, must be a bad batch during the manufacturing process. It seems odd to have two defected ones randomly distributed to you. Go out and buy lotto! : )

    your foot is on it and it just snaps?? something else has to be going on? do you stunt a lot, stand on pegs, etc?

    ^ stand on pegs? You'd have to be a FATass to just snap that by just standing, or even jumping.

    not a lot.. although I do enjoy jumping speed bumps. There is a huge thread on an r1 forum discussing it, I guess it's happened to a few other people as well...theirs broke in the exact same place as mine.(both times)
