Rev counter Screen Cracked 03

Hi lads, Got a wee question about my rev counter screen on my 03 R6 (5SL). I noticed a few months ago that it had a tiny wee crack in the screen. Now I notice the original crack is gettin larger and thier are now other small cracks apearing at different bits on the screen.

Just wondering if anybody else had the same problem or at least heard of it.

Any info would be ideal.

I've never heard of any issues like that. Have you gotten any cleaners or anything that would degrade the plastic?

Thats the word! Couldn't remember that at the time! lol

Nah aint ever used anything on it. Dunno how its went like that. Thing is its only gonna get worse now. I'm blaming these shi*te roads we've got here. You lads in the states dont know how lucky you are!

Just thought I'd post up and see if anybody else had heard of it.

Mine is cracked as well..however im the second owner and for all I know it could have been dropped.

I just assumed since he was across the pond that rev counter was common vernacular. Kind of like tyre, guess not.

mines cracked too, don't have a clue how but in 4 years it hasent grown any

Yeh your right mate. We do call it a rev counter. I just always try and use the sorta words you's guys use to describe things. Otherwise it just gets confussing!

But a tyre is a tyre! None of this "tire" nonsense.........

Hmmm. Well mine was fine when I got it and its just sort of appeared over a couple of months. Its never been dropped in its life.

Oh well, just need to live with it. Wont do any harm I dont suppose.
