tip for when stopped behind vehicle at red light ....

good stuff, I usually flash my brakes repeatedly when I see a car following behind me to a light. But I should definitely start stopping closer to the side of the car in front of me. I'm usually stopped within the inside of the back tire, generally close to the exhaust exit.

i split lanes all the time, so im dont find my self behind a car at a stop light. but i do worry about cars hitting me from the back. so what i do is i turn around fully, and stare at them, and flash my brake lights. its amazing what happens when you look at them. they realize that theres a person in that helmet and they stop way back there =)

wouldn't u be on a tire track anyways when coming to a stop if u were in riding/blocking position?

either way, i always give myself atleast a carlenght infront.

I usually go straight to the front going slow enough to not fly over a door if one was opened to (spit or throw coffee out !!) <--idiots

,but when there is no get through or I'm in the front and people comming up on me lately I have been having fun with my stops and doing the hydrolics brake bounce by hitting brakes, letting go, hitting, letting go ect... looks like I'm humping the bike and flashes lights at same time

I like looking back at people to after my sexy dance, funny to me and chicks looovvve it Uh Whoo !

just clip a fake ponytail on ur helmet. it works. trust me.

when i had shorter hair, people didn't give me as much room. maybe they thought i was a boy with longish hair.

it must be something psychological like.. "oh she's a girl, lets not ride her ass, cause she might die and is more delicate blah blah"

the longer my hair is, the longer space they leave behind you. now they leave like two car lenghts when stopped, while moving like 4.

Great info for new riders, and anyone else that doesn't do this. I always stop about a car length away from the car infront of me, and watch my mirror til the car behind me stops..I never take it out of first at a stop, in case I have to jet..er..sputter out of there in a hurry!
