    I dont know for sure as i've never owned a dirtbike helmet but my guess would be saftey factor is not the same. they are intened to hit two different things. one dirt one road. that being said idk that for sure. no idea what the db helmets standards are. but you would get a lot more of the elements in your face, bugs, rain, dirt. also at higher speeds it wont be stable at all. infact i would say the opening would create a lot of drag and bounce your head all over the place

    Well that makes sense. Would be ok till 70mph then the wind would be to much. Elements not so much Houston Tx it never rains. But yeah i was going to do some off road and did not want 2 helmets but your right you need to have 2 different ones unless you know your not going to break 70mph.
