Does anyone know why I don't have photochromic options for my helmet?

So after a ride tonight i realize that my shield is shot to shit with scratches and gashes and such, so I go online to possibly find those shields to buy a new one and remembered how cool that shield was that darken in the sun.

Argh. The tech has been out for quite a few years now, I'm wondering why the bigger helmet manufacturers don't pick it up. I WANT IT!

If you guys have time, could you help me email these guys to get on it? (specifically shoei and agv) thanks

It's business. If they make one shield that does all it's less money for them. Now they can sell you a light smoke, dark smoke and so on.

man if that is true, that sucks sweaty donkey balls. I remember reading about photochromic visors when they first came out and how excited i got.

Maybe i'll buy a wiki/akuma/bell for my next helmet... you have any experience with those unv?

UNV- what stopped you from getting the Akuma? Knowing my luck I'd get a gay helmet just for the visor then other companies would start coming out with the visors

Tried one on and personally just didn't like the feel. I have over 20+ helmets now from arai, shoe, suomy, agv,hjc, shark and nzi. Most are the top models of each brand. So it's hard for me to wear a helmet of a lower quality feel. Helmets are one of those things you really get what you pay for. I still think your best bet price wise is either the spec 1r or extreme, or agv Ti tech, and the hjc rps.
