    Default My Alpinestar Gloves

I've had these for quite a while, but have only used them for maybe 5000-6000 miles of riding. Not very much IMO. As you can see in the pic, the thread has come undone. Other than that, I would rate the gloves a 9/10 in terms of condition. Really sucks since they are like $90 gloves. I have some thread that I use which is twined from kevlar and hair from the mane of a unicorn. I may try using that tho thread it up.

I either have those exact gloves, or the older model. I've got probably the same amount of miles on them. Mine are still holding up fine, glad to report! Sucks that you're having that problem. I know I'd be disappointed if those were my gloves.

I know a new model came out this year, but mine are from like '06. I used them through '06 and '07, then didn't use them a few years, and started using them again.

send an email to alpinestars with those pics. See what they say. I suggest you buys better gloves; like i said in that other thread, those will not stay on in a crash.

Aren't yours similar, but slightly longer? I'm not going to get full gauntlet gloves, I ride leisurely, and they would look terrible with flip flops and a tank top

p.s. I am emailing them now, as well as Oakley in regards to my backpack. If either company would send me like a %20 discount or something, I would gladly purchase another of their products. Just slightly annoyed by the (what I believe to be) premature failure.

    Here's my email

    Dear Sir or Ma’am,

I am emailing to you in regards to my Alpinestars SPS Gloves that I purchased a few years ago. I purchased these, used them for about a season and a half, and then left them with my jacket after selling my motorcycle. I recently purchased a motorcycle, and started using these gloves again. I love the look and feel of the gloves. That is a big part of the reason I never sold them. They are in nearly new condition, easily a 9/10, and have maybe 5000 miles of use on them. Even when I didn’t have my bike, I would occasionally put them on just to remind myself how much I really liked these gloves. I recently purchased another motorcycle (Yamaha R1) and was thrilled to wear my gloves and jacket that I had saved. I have used the gloves for about 750 miles in the last 2 weeks, when the stitching seems to have come undone prematurely on the middle finger of my right hand (I promise it’s not from excessive use of the finger.) Anyways, I have included a few pictures at the bottom so you can see how good the condition of the gloves are, with the exception of that stitching issue. If there is any way you could repair them that would be great. If you would be willing to send me some type of discount on a new pair of Alpinestars that would be even better, and I would be more than happy to continue wearing your products and being able to speak so highly of them to my motorcycling friends both in person as well as in the online communities I frequent.

Sincerely A Big Fan Of Your Products,

Wipe the brown off your nose before you hit the send button.

10 weeks later and I've got an update! Talked to the alpinestars guy on the phone at the time of this email and got a Return number to mail them in to be repaired. Mailed them in about a month and a half ago and hadn't heard a thing (they said roughly 3 weeks from the date I ship them out)

Called the other day, he said they'd call me back shortly. Didn't hear anything. Called again today. He said they were going to completely replace them and send me new pair I guess they are currently out of stock right now, so he had to get them shipped from Italy. Can't wait for them to arrive!!
