so we were out riding tonight on some sweet curves outside of town. As soon as we got out of town, two of my buddies cracked the throttles open, and burned down the highway. me and another guy were going maybe 75, since both of us knew better than to speed in MN. (speed limit was 55) so later on down the highway we come across some ppl walking on the side of th ehighway, and there is one of them in the middle of the road flagging us down. like almost standing in our path. we pull a U-y and go up to see what they want. they were PISSED off that two bikes just flew by them doing at least 100, and that they had called the highway patrol on them. they wanted us to tell our buddies "to slow down and not to drive crazy on the roads" we politely said we would pass on the word and sat and talked with them for a few more minutes. by this time we knew we had lost our freinds, so we decided to just head back to town. we sent them a msg though to avoid coming back the way we had just went out, since the ppl would get their tags and call them in for sure.
so we get back to the turn to go onto the highway just before town, and we see our freinds coming up another road to meet us. well in the distance there was a cop car that pulled a U-y on a gravel road just up aways from us. we knew that he was coming for us, so we jsut sat and waited for him to come up. sure enough when he got close, his lights flipped on, and he yelled for all of us to pull over to the side of the road and kill our engines. we were like shit...
the cop gets out of his cruiser, and says "two of your bikes match the description of a call that we got about a driving complaint. so im looking for some honesty, and maybe ill let you off with a warning." luckily my two freinds spoke up and the cop was happy about that. he checked all our information and crap and then gave us a lecture about going too fast with our bikes. he then went on to say that he owns a harley and on his off duty hours, he rides pretty fast himself, so he doesnt blame us. (he was 29 years old, is what he said) he just said to be careful and slow down. he then informed us of the speeding fines in MN. 100mph+ and its an automatic arrest. 30mph over and its $375 and a couple points on the license.
so that was my story about being pulled over. it was interesting thats for sure. i havent been pulled over on either my bike or in my car for 4 years. glad to know that my insurance cards still work. lol.
