I'll have you know my crayons are plenty sharp the box has a sharpener built in?! the lawyer is free it'r pre paid like insurance, gonna look into written declaration.

Hrrrm its up to you to fight it. If you do fight it you usually give up the right to traffic school. I have been infront of some really nice judges though that let that slide. Otherwise i say always try and fight it especially if you have prepaid. Get those bitches to work. Otherwise its going to be like $200 total with traffic school option plus the cost of traffic school and 8 hrs of your time.

In Missouri we look to get these type of tickets "Amended" if its a first offense in that county(or in some cases, you can have 1 ticket amended per year). This drops it down to a non moving no points violation in most cases.
Not sure about CA though.
Sounds like you need to quit trying to figure out what to do and simply contact the lawyer. He will know what to do and may be able to talk to the prosecuting attorney before hand to get something worked out, or at least let you know your options.

^in kansas its called a diversion. costs twice as much as regular ticket = same results.
get another ticket in a year or something? = both tickets go on record. supposedly.
