any good insurance after a DWI?

This is a discussion on any good insurance after a DWI? within the Speeding Tickets and Street Racing forums, part of the Sportbike Operation category; I was thinking that insurance companies only checked 3 years back. Maybe it is 5. Why don't you just call ...

Why don't you just call all of them and give the exact same info.
See which one gives you the best deal.
My guess is that it will be one of those fly by night insurance companies you see advertised on late night t.v.

ok, so its still under three years, and got it... Minnesota; so give me a few days and yes try geico but make sure they (and every company) run your record and give you the quote AFTER they run the record. This isnt like your credit so insurance companies can run your record and it wont affect your driving record in any way.
In my area, insurance companies ALSO run credit but its whats called a "soft hit", supposedly doesnt affect your credit score in any way, so... also try Progressive, I dont work for either of these but know they are better for past issues for motorcyclists, but let me see what else I can find

GREAT Advice TravR6!!!! I forgot to mention: get quotes with the same coverage from each so you can compare apples to apples. DUI counts against you for insurance purposes for 5 years, but regular speeding tickets (not majors) are 3 years from conviction date (not date you received tix). Also Insurance companies have to be licensed by your state, so just make sure if its a company you haven't heard of that you ask them if they are licensed in your state members. You may not get 24 hour customer service, but you will be legit having insurance as required by your state, and that is what matters!
in MN motorcycle insurance minimum is:
30k Bodily Injury for 1 person
60k bodily injury for a single accident
    10k personal Property Liability Coverage
40k basic economic loss (20k for medical expenses and 20k for loss of income and other expenses)
I would add Comprehensive coverage (includes theft and vandalism) with $100 deductible.
not sure what year your bike is and what the market value is but if you are responsible for wrecking it and want it repaired you would add Collision coverage (which would be very expensive due to your DUI) and you would need to pick your deductible. The higher deductible you pick, the less expensive, but the insurance company subtracts that amount from the amount they feel you rmotorcycle was worth at the time of loss.
    **this is not legal advice
