I don't have a crash cage myself , but i am looking at getting one by next year. I talked to guy that owns a custom bike and truck shop near my house called high strung racing and he has a powers crash cages on his bike. he suggested either power or freestyle. sorry i couldnt be of more help. Nobody was posting so i figured i would give you my input on it.

i had the Race Railz on my 05 R6 they look nice and make a great footrest. However if you drop it on the right side you get no protection at all , if you drop it on the left side the railz take all the damage and your bike doesnt get a scratch at all

i have tested this and had* a write up here on installing the railz

How does the powers cages compare to the woodcraft frame sliders as far as protection from damage to the bike when the bike is sliding down the road?

a cage is def gonna protect the bike more than just a slider

the race rails protect more because a frame slider only has one point of contact. The race rail runs from the front motor mount to the rear transmission mount and has a solid rail.
