    Default Oahu Racetrack

Is this track still running. I think I found it on google maps, and when I clicked on the website for the track, nothing came up. Reason I'm wondering is that I'm moving out there for school sometime late summer. Just wondered if bringing my track bike was worth it.

Methinks that looks like a cart track. In any case unless this website is really out of date I don't think there's a track in Hawaii anymore. Hawaii Road Race Association (HRRA)
It requires an unusual mind to undertake an analysis of the obvious.

When I was last there I actually stumbled across one of the Build the Track! events at Aloha Tower. From what I gathered there is they don't have one, but are trying very hard to get a road race course set up. Makes sense, perfect weather every day of the year and the dry part of the island (Oahu) is pretty empty.

Hard part is land is obviously insanely valuable, and most of the dry parts of the island are farm land and such.

They should put it on the dry side of the big island. I heard of plans to build a track in kona but i doubt it will happen. Land is much cheaper on the big island

they need to get something somewhere, without a track it just inspires more people to take it too the streets like that one foo who had his shit posted on youtube and all over the news.

yeah pretty much, most riders here are cruiser riders and there are a ton of them. The sport riders here are a little smarter too. I think maybe 25% of the riders i see wear a helmet. To me thats a lot compared to Chicagoland area where i used to live.
