I mean no offense to you, but about 25 percent of my boot camp division wanted to be a SEAL and about half of those had the attitude that they would succeed and had trained for it. I'm not sure how many made it, but I'm pretty sure 25% of the navy isn't SEALs. Maybe you are SEAL material and we don't know it. But until you finish Buds everyone will think you are full of shit. If you mention it in boot camp you will be given an extra hard time. If you find it hard then tap out then. You can still drop out of boot camp until you graduate without repercussion.
If you choose to go that route, you will be required to pick a rating as a fallback. Make sure you pick one that you can tolerate, also make sure you pick one that qualifies you to try out for the program. Some rates are undermanned and will not let you attempt.

is to go Army or Marine, get a combat related mos (11B, 21B, ect) , or whatever its called in the CORP, then go to selection. I've only known of 2 guys that've gone to selection, BUS/S, right out of basic and passed. Get some experience under your belt first.
