Boatswain's Mate Petty Officer Third Class

The boatswain's mate petty officer third class, or BM3, supervises and ensures the seaman are performing their given tasks and reports to the chain of command. BM3s also direct and take charge of emergency parties and take charge of the operation of small boats. They stand important watches such as petty officer of the watch and some security watches. The BM3 also trains and helps instruct the seamen on how to perform their tasks and provides guidance when needed.

Everyone who washes out says something similar. How'd you dislocate your shoulder? A fall? A spill? Failed to do something? Just saying.

At least you tried, and you're still serving. Thanks for that.

Yeh we had done a 2mile bay swim, the some pt, went on a 6 mile soft sand run then back to back obstacle course and on my second time through I was going over the cargo net wall, and my legs and arms were toasted. Halfway down my legs just gave up tried to hold on with my armsbut they gave out and felt my shoulder pop and then landed on it and that was it . Med dropped..
