Go update your other thread. From this thread, I'm assuming you washed out?
ummmm, not really, i dislocated my shoulder and got the boot....so they gave me the option to quit and come back in two years, or get med dropped and never come back, i got labeld a high med risk for my shoulders cuz b4 i joined the navy i dislocated my other shoulder....so i "quit" and moved on to my ship, this happend 7mo ago, now im a e-4 and wating my turn to go back....or go to the army...being on the ship is cool, but not my deal really
And what do you hope to accomplish by joining the Army, besides admitting you are homosexual?
Away is away, and while stationed on a base, you have the chance to do things more often, I would think being aboard a ship would offer you better experiences because of liberty at different ports, as opposed to being stuck at the same ole Ft. Sweaty Nuts.
Plus look at the danger factor.
Just my opinion

its cool, i love the ports....were going to fleet week next week, but i wanna see some action, tired of playing militart i wanna see some stuff.....
It's a possibility for a lot of us in the Navy as we are down sizing big time. PTS, ERB, and the like are 1 killing a lot of jobs 2 getting rid of a lot of people that should stay in. I like how the Navy can change the terms of my contract but I can't. Been in for 10 years and done 6 deployments of 6 months or more. Anyway, if I were to go Blue to Green it'd be as a flying warrant. Not sure about your issues but if the Navy says GTFO b/c of an injury, you have no shot in the Army. Use the GI bill and get your degree.
Detainee step away from the fence....
Army is downsizing right now too, they just lowered their age to 35 and as of now Jobs are very hard to come by unless you want to drive a truck or laundrymost MOS' have at least 8-12 months of waiting from what I've seen.
