This is a discussion on Maryland people........ within the USA - North East forums, part of the Regional Forums category; I'm going to visit my sister this Friday who lives in Silver springs which I guess is close to UMD ...

    I'm going to visit my sister this Friday who lives in Silver springs which I guess is close to UMD since that's where she is going to school. So what is there to see/visit down there? I'm not too familiar with the area and this is her first semester so she isn't either. I thought of going to the harbor and maybe visiting the aquarium. I need some ideas.

    You're closer to DC than Baltimore... and Baltimore sucks ass anyway... so basically everything DC has to offer.

    if ur looking to party etc.. then dc/college park is where to go..

    if ur looking to chill.. visit the harbor and the aquarium/science center or something

    lets see...

    Baltimore = (furthest spot from you) inner harbor, ESPN zone, etc. A lot of places to eat around there and a lot of bars further down.

    DC = plenty of bars of course and you have Adams Morgan, you can hit up Georgetown and hang out there as well.

    Bethesda = A lot of places to eat as well and some pretty decent bars around the area.
